Launched on May 6, the same day Archie celebrated his birthday, “Pledge to Invest” is designed to encourage businesses to provide long-term support for youth development, helping the next generation of leaders in meaningful and sustainable ways.
This initiative is the latest project from The Diana Award, a charity established in honor of the late Princess of Wales, and continues to receive support from both of her sons.

While Harry’s absence on his son’s birthday certainly caught attention, this isn’t the first time the Duke of Sussex has missed celebrating Archie’s special day.
Before Archie’s birthday and the “Pledge to Invest” launch, Harry sat down for an insightful interview with the BBC.
He stressed that he will continue supporting the causes and people that are important to him. With a mix of determination and sadness, Harry shared his regret that he may never feel safe enough to return to the UK with his wife, Meghan, and their children, Archie and Princess Lilibet.

“I love my country, as I always have done. Despite what some people in that country have done. Uhm, so, you know, I miss the UK,” he admitted, talking about the pain of possibly not being able to share his homeland with his children.
Even though he faced legal setbacks and emotional struggles, Harry made one thing clear: He has never stopped asking for the same thing — safety for his family, and the chance to live with purpose and dignity.
