People are abuzz over Hillary Clinton’s reaction to one of Donald Trump’s announcements during his inaugural address.
The 47th US President was sworn into office today (January 20), with former presidents, cabinet nominees, tech leaders, and other guests in attendance.
During Trump’s initial speech in the Capitol Rotunda, he declared that the nation’s “decline” would immediately end as he ushered in “the golden age of America.” He detailed promises from his campaign, including deploying troops to the US-Mexico border, boosting domestic oil production, and imposing tariffs to “enrich our citizens.”
“Our sovereignty will be reclaimed. Our safety will be restored. The scales of justice will be rebalanced,” Trump stated. “Our top priority will be to create a nation that is proud, prosperous, and free.”
One particularly surprising promise was renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. This statement quickly went viral, not for its content but for Hillary Clinton’s reaction. Clinton was caught laughing at the proposal, and social media erupted.
“Hillary Clinton p***ing her pants laughing when Trump said he will rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America,” one post on X read. Another commented, “Hillary laughing her tits off when Donnie said he’s going to retitle the Gulf of Mexico made it worth the watch.” Others noted, “Hillary Clinton just had the best reaction to Trump’s statement changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.”
A third echoed, “Hillary Clinton laughing hysterically when Trump said he’s renaming the Gulf of Mexico… she is all of us. What a joke.” The “stoic queen” couldn’t hold back her laughter, reflecting many viewers’ sentiments.
“We are all Hillary Clinton right now. Donald Trump literally lives in a universe of his own, thinking he could change the name of the Gulf of Mexico with one stroke of a pen,” another criticized.
During his address, Trump also lambasted past American leadership as corrupt: “We now have a government that cannot manage even a simple crisis at home, while at the same time stumbling into a continuing catalogue of catastrophic events abroad.” He positioned himself as uniquely capable of fixing these issues, asserting, “All of this will change starting today, and it will change very quickly.”
Everything Trump Has Pledged as the 47th US President
Delaying the TikTok Ban: After TikTok briefly went dark in the US on January 19, it returned with a message crediting Trump’s efforts. He plans to delay the ban, aiming to “make a deal to protect our national security.”
Immigration: Trump reiterated his plan to launch the largest deportation program in American history to expel criminals and restore safety.
