“Congratulations… He’s All Yours.” I Rolled My Husband’s Suitcases To The Young Intern He Chose Over Me In Front Of His Entire Office—Moments Later, She Handed Me An Envelope That Revealed A Hidden Account, A Forged Signature, And The Final Secret My Mother Left Behind

Part 2 of 3

Then I saw Sabrina.

She was laughing with several colleagues near the elevators.

I rolled the suitcases across the marble floor until they stopped directly in front of her.

She looked confused.

“Sabrina Holt?” I asked.

“Yes.”

I released the handles.

“Congratulations. He’s all yours now.”

The entire lobby fell silent.

A few seconds later, Everett stepped out of the elevator.

He stopped walking.

The color disappeared from his face.

“Madeline?” he asked.

“I’m simply returning what belongs to you,” I said.

“This isn’t the right place for this conversation.”

I smiled.

“I completely agree. Our marriage wasn’t the right place for another woman either.”

People around us exchanged nervous glances.

Everett lowered his voice.

“Can we speak outside?”

“No.”

“You’re embarrassing me.”

I shook my head.

“No, Everett. I’m protecting my dignity. You’re simply facing the consequences of your own choices.”

Then I turned around and walked away.

The Call I Never Expected

By the time I reached my car, my hands were trembling.

My phone rang repeatedly.

I ignored every call.

Instead of returning home, I drove to my cousin Eliza’s coffee shop.

The moment she saw me, she knew something was wrong.

“Tell me what happened.”

For the first time that day, I allowed myself to cry.

I told her everything.

The perfume.

The messages.

The intern.

The suitcases.

The humiliation.

She listened quietly before asking one simple question.

“Do you have proof?”

I nodded.

Screenshots.

Voice recordings.

Messages.

She smiled slightly.

“Good. Then it’s time to protect yourself.”

Before I could answer, my phone vibrated again.

This time, it was not Everett.

It was someone from the company’s human resources department.

The message was brief.

Mrs. Caldwell, there are details regarding your husband’s financial activities that you need to know.

The Secret Behind The Betrayal

The representative explained that Everett had been under internal review for months.

At first, I assumed the problem involved his relationship with Sabrina.

Then I heard a name I had never encountered before.

Cresthaven Consulting.

The company account had apparently been created years earlier.

My name appeared on several documents.

So did my signature.
