Back in 2018, during her Liberation Tour, the singer had her daughter, Summer, join her on stage at one point. Behind the scenes, Summer remained a steady presence, often accompanying her mother throughout the tour.
Christina shared that although her daughter is usually very shy, she was determined not to miss one of her mother’s performances. “I was shocked. If I was her, I would just be sitting on the bus watching my favorite TV shows. But she wanted to be at the side of the stage where she could see me,” the singer said.

Christina revealed that after her performances, Summer would often insist on being invited on stage, expressing her disappointment if it didn’t happen every night. The singer found the moments endearing but acknowledged they couldn’t make it a nightly occurrence.
Still, Summer enjoyed the surge of energy during tour travels, including the costumes everyone wore. “I would let her wear her PAW Patrol costume every single night. Now she’s super into Spider-Man,” the singer revealed.
As for her kids’ creative pursuits, Christina shared in Q&A on X in 2018 that while she and Summer enjoy singing Disney songs together, her son Max has an incredible voice. Though Max doesn’t sing much, Christina caught him singing “Maria” and was amazed by his pitch-perfect talent, hinting he could pursue music if he wanted to.
Christina, who is proud of her kids, takes joy in embracing her creativity through her music career. However, she is most comfortable doing so only when her children are thriving in their own pursuits. In true motherly fashion, this approach ensures their interests and passions are prioritized, giving her the freedom to focus on her artistic endeavors.
